Love in Action: Beth’s Story
Sometimes something as simple as a ride can make a tremendous difference in someone’s life.
Beth, an elderly woman in our community, reached out to Love INC because she did not have transportation to an important appointment. Without someone to take her, she was unsure how she would be able to get there.
Through Love INC’s network of caring volunteers and community connections, we were able to arrange transportation for Beth to her appointment and make sure she had a ride home afterward. What may have seemed like a simple act of service gave Beth the reassurance that she was not facing her need alone.
Not long after, Beth contacted Love INC again. This time, she was concerned because she was unable to get to the local food bank to pick up her monthly box of food.
Once again, Love INC was able to help. We made sure Beth received her food box and worked to connect her with an ongoing solution. Beth is now on the list to have her monthly food box delivered directly to her home.
For Beth, these needs were about more than transportation or groceries. They were about maintaining dignity, independence, and knowing that someone in her community cared.
At Love INC of Clarion County, we believe the Church can make a meaningful difference when we come together to serve our neighbors. Sometimes love looks like providing a ride. Sometimes it looks like delivering a box of food. And sometimes it simply means being there when someone does not know where else to turn.
Beth’s story is a beautiful reminder that when we put love into action, even small acts of kindness can make a lasting difference.
