Stories of Impact

Even small acts of service can make a big difference

“Even small acts of service can make a big difference.”

When a neighbor reaches out to Love INC of Clarion County for help, their first step is our Connection Center. This is where we listen, learn their story, and help identify the support needed. When a need aligns with the strengths of one of our partner churches, a referral is sent—allowing the local Church to step in with compassion and care.

That’s exactly what happened when a neighbor who uses a wheelchair needed help moving furniture. After connecting with Love INC, the referral was sent to Trinity Point Church of God, where volunteers Ethan and Angie responded.

While the task itself seemed simple, the impact was deeply meaningful. “She was so grateful and joyful just to have someone there to help,” they shared. “Something that felt minor to us meant a lot to her.”

For Ethan and Angie, serving in this moment was a reminder of how powerful presence can be. Their time and effort helped reduce stress and brought encouragement to someone who truly needed it. “It felt good knowing that our help made her day easier,” Ethan said.

The experience also left a personal impact. It reinforced the importance of showing up for others, increased gratitude for their own abilities, and encouraged a greater willingness to serve when needs arise.

“These moments matter because they bring people together and show that we care about one another,” they reflected.

When asked what they would say to someone considering volunteering, their response was simple and powerful: “Even small acts of service can make a big difference.” By giving just a little of your time, you can help someone tremendously.”

This is the Love INC model in action, neighbors reaching out, churches responding, and our community being strengthened through partnership.
