A Helping Hand at 100

Love Story of the Month

“A Helping Hand at 100”

Recently, the Love INC Connection Center received a call that reminded us just how meaningful simple acts of kindness can be.

A 100-year-old woman here in Clarion County found herself in a difficult situation. She needed to move out of her home but did not have the physical ability or support system to manage such a task on her own. What could have been an overwhelming and isolating experience became something very different when she reached out for help.

Through the Connection Center, we listened to her situation, understood her needs, and began reaching out to our network of partner churches. One of our faithful partners, Trinity Point Church of God, quickly responded.

Volunteers stepped in with willing hearts and helping hands. They carefully and respectfully assisted her with moving her belongings, ensuring she was supported every step of the way. What may have seemed like a simple task, helping someone move, became a powerful expression of love, dignity, and community.

But the care didn’t stop there.

Before leaving, the volunteers took a moment to gather with her and pray. In that quiet moment, surrounded by people who showed up for her, she was reminded that she was not alone—not just in her circumstances, but in her life. It was a simple yet powerful expression of God’s presence and love.

This is the heart of Love INC.

Love INC does not replace the church, it connects the church. Through the Connection Center, we receive calls, listen deeply, and then link neighbors in need with local churches who are ready to respond. Each church brings its unique gifts, and together, we are able to meet needs in a way that no one organization could do alone.

We stand in the gap between need and resource, between isolation and relationship, and between hardship and hope.

In this story, the need was practical. But the impact went far beyond moving belongings. It reminded a neighbor that she is seen, valued, and deeply cared for.

Moments like this are why Love INC matters.

When churches come together, when volunteers say “yes,” and when neighbors reach out, we begin to see transformation, not just in circumstances, but in hearts and lives.

Thank you for being part of a ministry that brings hope to our community, one connection at a time.
